The Dig

The new canal, viale Caprera, LivotnoI neglected to inform you about the redigging of the old canal in “Viale Caprera”. The first part is almost complete and in these pictures of about one month ago you can see how the works are going. In background the new bridge of “Santa Trinita” and the “Fortezza Vecchia”.The new canal, viale Caprera, Livotno They are digging up to the old shoulders of the canal, which have been already reinforced with micropoles.The new canal, viale Caprera, LivotnoThe workers are placing rebar on the bottom, where concrete will be poured later.

Looks to be a rather massive job. But I bet it will be very nice once it is done and a fine addition to Livorno's already considerable charm!
