Inside the Goldoni

Inside the Goldoni Theater, LivornoMy friend Stefano has a key for every door and a couple of days ago let me inside the “Teatro Goldoni”. You can see people working on the stage for the next show.Inside the Goldoni Theater, LivornoThere are four order of boxes with the “Palco Reale” in the middle. The central part of the fourth row is called “galleria” and the whole top row, the one with the balustrade, is the “loggione”.Inside the Goldoni Theater, LivornoThe “Palco Reale” hasn't hosted royals lately, but our President, the Livornese Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, was there in 2004 for a “Cavalleria rusticana” by the Livornese Pietro Mascagni.

What a majestic theater! I'd love to see a show one day in this type of theater.

I also want to thank you for commenting on my blog every day-without your comments I fee like giving up on my blog.

My husband and I watch a lot of theater, but we have nothing even remotely this grand in Manila. I am so envious! It's gorgeous!

What a lovely theater and how clever of you to have befriended a person with the keys to everything. We all need someone like that in our lives.

Other than in the movies, I've never seen this type of theater before...it is magnificent. All the photos are splendid, but I especially like the last one - very well composed!

What a beautiful theater! I assume they mainly do operas here. I would love to sit in one of those boxes - it looks really luxurious!

Superb theatre, I would love to watch a play there. Or listen to an opera. Goldoni would be fine and Il Trovatore absolutely perfect.

Ah che teatro meraviglioso!
E che bei loggioni, immagino tutti vellutati, davvero spettacolare!

Beautiful theater. Opera houses like this make me think of them cathedrals of music.

Very nice of Stefano to let you have a look around. Seems like a place where a photographer could easily spend a few hours. Some great photos here.

Any chance of good old Silvio stopping by here? Probably not.

We have "royal boxes" at the Opera and elsewhere. These are the best seats and they are always empty.

Finally I'm in the inside of a theater.
PS: Who's Stefano? He seems like has every key for every place. Don't tell me he is a key maker.
Or a key breaker :).
